Our Global Conference is the biggest event in the Brokerslink calendar and a tradition our Partners and Affiliates around the world look forward to with great anticipation.
Over the last 20 years, we’ve welcomed thousands of brokers, insurers, risk managers and risk specialists into some of the most exciting and vibrant cities in the world.
Each year, the conference is hosted by one of our Partners or Affiliates, who each bring a taste of their unique local culture to the event.
In the run-up to our fifteenth conference in Abu Dhabi, we spoke to some of our previous hosts to find out what makes the event so special.  Ariel Couto was proud to welcome the conference to Sao Paulo last year.
Ariel is the Chief Executive Officer of MDS Brazil and Brokerslink’s Americas Regional Manager.   Last year’s conference captured all the flavour of a Brazilian carnival, it was bold, bright and energetic, here’s what Ariel remembers:
 

What is your best memory from hosting the Brokerslink Global Conference in Sao Paulo in 2023? 

The most incredible memory was the moment of the presentation by the young people from the Jose Coltro house, a non-governmental organization that provides education, social support, and professional development opportunities to children, youth, and adults in highly vulnerable situations. This presentation showcased an important sample of our social work in Brazil.
 

Can you explain why the Brokerslink Global Conference is such an important event for partners and affiliates and their clients? 

This is the most important event on Brokerslink's annual calendar. It is a moment for updates on the global insurance market and its trends, as well as a unique opportunity to develop new relationships and reinforce existing ones.
 

What do you look forward to about the Global Conference each year? 

I look forward to meeting even more members of our global network and expanding my relationships within this large family.
