Returning to Hong Kong – the 10th Brokerslink Global Conference

“We’ve spent many months preparing for our tenth global conference in Hong Kong and the time has now arrived.  Alongside the day-to-day challenges of running one of the largest global broking networks, we’ve been hard at work making sure that this year’s conference is the best yet for our partners, affiliates and specialist partners attending from around the world."

I first attended the conference when it launched in Hong Kong in 2009, and it’s amazing to see how much things have changed, both for Brokerslink and the global insurance industry.  Back then, we operated a broking network; now as we come to the end of 2018, we are a fully incorporated global brokerage with a network of partners, affiliates and specialist insurance and risk management professionals encompassing all major regions and markets across the globe.

We’ve added many specialty lines brokers meaning that we have greater capacity to support independent brokers and we’ve invested in insuretech to ensure that our brokers can trade as one network, no matter where they are in the world.

This year we’ve got an exciting two days of panel sessions, debates and discussions as well as a special guest from the rugby world!

The first day of the conference is all about our broker partners and affiliates. We’ll be announcing some very exciting news about the continued expansion of the Brokerslink network and will once again be running our popular Risk Management Forum, this year in partnership with PARIMA, providing brokers with the opportunity to discuss the current trends in risk management.

After Brokerslink CEO Jacqueline Legrand and our chairman and host, Nova Insurance CEO Patrick Chan, open the second day of the conference, we will be joined by the new CEO of the Insurance Authority Hong Kong, Mr. Clement Cheung.

This will be followed by a morning of compelling discussion on a range of topics from blockchain to the future of health insurance. In the afternoon, we’re running another panel discussion on risk management and even a session on how to build a super-yacht.

It’s going to be a busy couple of days but we’re looking forward to seeing so many of our partners, affiliates and specialist partners from around the world in one room and I’m looking forward to seeing just how much we’ve grown since our first conference ten years ago.

There’s plenty more planned for the days in Hong Kong; if you’d like to see the full conference programme, please visit our conference website and follow us on Twitter or LinkedIn.”
